CONTACT

Lisa&Co. at Milan Fashion Week

From Bucharest to Italy.

There are certain moments in the life of a brand that feel like more than simply another event on the calendar. For us, travelling from Bucharest to Milan to present our creations at WHITE Milano during Milan Fashion Week was one of them. Fashion Week changes the rhythm of Milan completely. The city feels more alive, more expressive and somehow more attentive to detail. Everywhere you look, there is a sense of movement, people arriving from different parts of the world, collections being presented, ideas being exchanged and an unmistakable creative energy running through the city. Being part of that atmosphere was an opportunity to take our world outside Bucharest and bring our jewellery into an international space.

One of our favorite parts

There is a particular feeling when months of ideas, preparation and logistics suddenly become physical. Boxes are opened, pieces are unpacked and an empty space slowly starts becoming recognisably yours. Setting up our stand was probably one of the most intense parts of the experience, but also one of the most satisfying. Jewellery is all about detail, and presenting it is no different. Every piece needs its space. The proportions, placement and overall atmosphere matter because the way a collection is presented becomes part of the story behind it. Little by little, our corner of WHITE Milano began to feel like home.

Experiencing WHITE Milano

Once everything was ready, the pace changed. WHITE Milano brought together the energy we had hoped to experience during the Fashion Week: fashion, design, creativity and people constantly discovering something new. For us, it was especially interesting to see our jewellery within this wider fashion environment. At our showroom in Bucharest, we know the Lisa&Co. universe intimately. Taking the collection to Milan gave us the opportunity to see it from another perspective, surrounded by different aesthetics, international visitors and the constant flow of Fashion Week. There is something valuable about physically presenting jewellery in this context. A photograph can communicate a great deal, but jewellery is tactile. The proportions of a pair of earrings, the way a necklace sits against the skin, the reflection of gold-plated silver or the irregular character of a pearl are details that become much clearer when someone can experience the pieces in real life.

Jewellery, fashion and the people behind them

We think about jewellery as something that becomes part of a person's way of dressing and expressing themselves. It can completely change a simple look, become something worn every day or turn into the detail around which an entire outfit is created.

Behind the finished stand

Of course, the polished version is only half of the story. Behind every finished stand, carefully arranged display and photograph from an event is a much less glamorous world of planning, transport, boxes, schedules, last-minute adjustments and decisions that have to be made quickly. For us, travelling from Romania and creating our presence in Milan meant coordinating all of those elements while making sure the final result still felt effortless. It is one of the things we will remember most from this edition. There is a very satisfying moment when the logistical side disappears from view. After the travelling, carrying, unpacking and arranging, everything is finally where it should be. The jewellery is displayed, the lights are on, people begin arriving and suddenly the work behind it becomes invisible. What remains is the experience. Taking Lisa&Co. from our Bucharest showroom to Milan also felt significant on a more personal level. We are proud to build our brand in Romania, and opportunities such as WHITE Milano allow us to introduce that perspective to a wider audience. For us, international growth is not about changing the identity of Lisa&Co. It is about bringing that identity into new spaces. Our collections of silver and gold jewellery are created for people who enjoy pieces with personality — jewellery that can feel refined without becoming predictable and expressive without losing its versatility. The same idea matters when we think about the stores and showrooms where we would like Lisa&Co. to live internationally. We are interested in spaces with a strong point of view.

And then there was the city itself.

One of the most enjoyable things about being there during Fashion Week is that the experience does not stop when you leave the fair. The entire city seems to participate. The streets, cafés, shops, people and unexpected details between one place and another all become part of the atmosphere. During those few days, fashion feels less like an industry existing behind closed doors and more like something happening everywhere around you. For a creative brand, that energy is difficult not to absorb. We returned to Bucharest with photographs, conversations, impressions and plenty of ideas  but also with an even clearer sense of how we want the Lisa&Co. world to evolve.

Until next time, Milano

Our first memories when we think about this Milano Fashion Week will probably not be one single spectacular moment. Instead, they will be a collection of smaller ones. Arriving in the city. Seeing our stand come together. Placing the final pieces of jewellery. Walking through WHITE Milano once everything was ready. Meeting new people. Observing reactions to the collection. And stepping back for a moment to realise that something that started in Bucharest had made its way to Milan. That is perhaps what made the experience so special. For a few days, Lisa&Co. became part of the rhythm of Milano Fashion Week and we loved being there. We are already carrying some of that Milan energy back home with us.
